Hunger Suppressants
What are the best hunger suppressants?
How can a hunger suppressant help me lose weight?
Using a hunger suppressant to control your appetite is one of the best ways to limit the amount of calories you consume in a day.
In fact as far as weight loss pills or supplements go, hunger suppressants have the best success rate.
After all, if you can take less calories in without feeling hungry all the time, then you are one step in front of most other dieters. Falling of the "diet wagon" due to hunger pangs and cravings is all to common, so its no wonder hunger suppressants are being snapped up by their millions in the UK.
What are the best hunger suppressants?
There are many products which claim to suppress hunger, however there are only a handful which are actually clinically proven, and more to the point approved by thousands of dieters. They are Hoodia Gordonii extract and Seaweed extract, and both work in near identical ways.
Seaweed extract as a hunger suppressant
Appesat, which is a recent addition to this years newly released diet pills, works by using seaweed extract to mimic the effects of eating a large meal. Seaweed fibre actually swells when taken with water, and it is this effect which tricks the stomach and brain into thinking you have already eaten - think of it as gastric band in a pill.
Seaweed extract is actually a type of fibre and although quite effective, it can cause discomfort in a number of users. Many dieters have claimed it makes them feel and look bloated, which is obviously a big disadvantage when you’re trying to look slim.
So, is there a better option?
Yes and no, Hoodia Gordonii is the option most people choose, and has earned its place as the best selling hunger suppressant in the UK. However although extremely effective and side effect free, there is a big problem - buying GENUINE Hoodia extract is no easy task.
In fact Hoodia Gordonii is one of the most faked types of medicine available to the western world. As many as 1 in 3 Hoodia products on the market are thought to be fakes, containing little or no Hoodia content at all. This is due to the fact that Hoodia is very expensive to cultivate and is imported from countries which impose strict limits on how much can be farmed and distributed.
A quick search on eBay or Google can reveal thousands of Hoodia products, often at very low prices, and it’s often a case of buyer beware. Unfortunately there are only a few UK official importers who are licensed to produce pure Hoodia pills.
What you should look for when buying pure Hoodia
The first thing is to check to see if the product has SITES certification, this certificate shows the origin of the Hoodia - Usually South Africa. It should also have a certificate of analysis to show the actual ingredients of the product. This should show 100% pure Hoodia with no additives or fillers, the extract should be at least 460mg of Hoodia.
