Judy’s Weight Loss Review
Judy's Weight Loss Review
You have probably noticed the adverts for Judy's weight loss which currently feature on the MSN home pages.
After following the link you are greeted by a sales page which supposedly has been created by "Judy", who apparently is a mum, with a son and a fantastic husband, and just wants to share her story.
I would assume most people will see through this ploy immediately, as no mum would take out a £500 a day premium advert just to help others lose a few pounds!
No, this could be a mum, but more likely to be some 40 year old company exec that needs to sell Acai berry weight loss products!
How Does Judy’s Weight Loss Work?
After reading through the page it's quite clear that in order to achieve the miraculous 30lb weight loss in as little as 30 days, we will need to obtain two products. They are as follows:
Judy’s Weight Loss Product 1: A trial of a detox product containing Acai berry extract.
After looking over the website for this product there are two things that struck me. The first is that there is no mention of ingredients anywhere; the second is that there is no mention of the true cost of this product until you navigate to the terms and conditions link at the bottom of the page.
This is probably for the best too! The price of £79.99 per calendar month was a bit of a shock to say the least. Not to mention that this is billed automatically once your free trial has ended, recurring too, I might add!
Although at least there is a handy phone number supplied in which you can cancel your order...the downside is, when I rung I was greeted with a nice flat tone confirming the number was no longer in use. Maybe this was just a temporary problem, but (+44) 2031399027 does not really look like a UK number I'm all too familiar with.
Last but not least, as with many online weight loss supplements it has not been evaluated by the FDA or EU health authorities. I would always strongly suggest that before considering any diet product that is available online, you should check to see if it conforms to the latest EU Medical device directives and is tested bacteria free and safe for consumption.
Judy’s Weight Loss Product 2: A trial of a colon cleansing detox pill.
Another free trial? Really you are spoiling us! Although it's a shame this one also costs £79.99 per month after the trial ends, and coincidently lists the same telephone number as before! As in the first product there is no ingredient list or any clinical trials proving its effectiveness. But it does encourage you to order as soon as possible as the trial will only be available for the next 5 minutes!
Has anyone tried Judy’s Weight Loss?
Apart from lack of clinical trials, there are also no written or video testimonials available on the website. I presume some people have tried Judy’s weight loss, but at the moment we just have to take Judy’s word for it.
So then, if you have had your calculator to hand, that’s a whopping £159.98 per month for two unproven, untested, "media backed" products. Not quite the bargain, I think you will agree!
If you are really looking for supplements that will help you lose weight, there are a few which have full medical backing, clinical trials, and more importantly working customer support!
Alli which is available from Boots the chemist is one of the better ones; it's a fat binder which helps to remove around 28% of fat from the food you eat.
However, better still, go for the cheaper Proactol, which does exactly the same but costs far less. It is also available without prescription and is generally recommended by nearly all GP's. Most notably, It was also voted The Telegraph's best way to diet 2009.
